An ode to peace, which is always in style.

A late winter day keeps spring away....

I am firm believer in multi sensory learning, where you participate with more brain activity by using more than just your ears (listening) or eyes (reading); writing notes or explaining to others greatly enhances learning.   Best way to learn is of course to teach.  This little ditty  summarizes my Tuting approach and may be a memory aid if you listen or sing it often...

A light treatise on Gravity with somewhat dark lyrics

In General, do boys ever grow up...

Inspired by a less than pleasant minor renovation of our porch several years ago, things have improved in the city but we still lack any urge to renovate any more.  The counterpoint to this tune is Maple Sweet which reflects nice thoughts of Ottawa.

Inspired by our CBC afternoon show  a few years back featuring a long song.  This is a long song that goes on and goes on...

It is always tasty, but bacon is hard to categorize.

Inspired during my summers with ALHAS tracking and chasing storms in Alberta.  Also revived by the Arthur Tornado that lurked over my sister's farm this summer.  See a great video of a F0 from start to finish...

Written on September 12th

Another entry but it "Hasn't hit me yet"

Drive Safe

A seasonal issue that tends to drift

Not a good day to drive, reminding me of the 10th anniversary of another not so great day for my Little Red Honda...I miss you so

The snow knows when to go, if only it were so clear for them

ill Leavin' weeks to go, time for the toast

Don't leave them hanging or they'll be too long

Inspired by a Bylaw stating no cows on the roof of a cheese shop, although the cow survived the shop
did not and is fading away with a final May Day

Inspired by another May, (Winifred Emma May) who had a more pastoral view of England's better days....Happy Voting

A wee contribution to sesquicentennial carillon competition

A new twist for an old ditty...

A hopeful tune for a dismal dude....

A new tune for a stark and dark winter's day

A warm thought for a cool day

Diet versus Evolution, who wins?

A wee tune for the times

Although we may not last, time is never lost...

Tribute to Sea Shanties with a retuned Classic

Inspired by Ian the Local Weatherman who features outdoor photos to counterpoint the forecast on Throwback Thursdays and Fun Friday Fotos.  I wrote several melodies to the words and decided to blend them into a wee song.

May the Memories burn Bright forever

During this period of many questions and a few exclamations always remember the Big Five...

A timely and TERR-ific lyric set to an old Stephen Foster tune

New tunes for 3 World War 1 songs joined in one tribute to our current troubled direction.

It's the Ides of July and  I'm still, a sensitive guy

A lovely melody inspired by a lost lyric of another more famous George

While editing my tune collection I realized I lacked a Christmas Melody, so whipped up this one. Still polishing the lyrics so no singing just ringing for now.
